John Mayall
John Mayall
Often referred to as "The Godfather of British Blues," John Mayall has an impressive musical career that spans over 50 years. The English blues singer, pianist, harmonica player, guitarist, and songwriter founded the band, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers in the 1960s -- a band whose members included many celebrated blues and blues rock guitarists, such as: Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Jack Bruce, Mick Taylor, Walter Trout, Coco Montoya and Buddy Whittington.

Attracted by the West Coast climate and culture, Mayall then made his permanent move from England to Los Angeles in 1969 and began forming bands with American musicians. Throughout the next three decades, Mayall became further revered for his many jazz/rock/blues innovations featuring such notable performers as Blue Mitchell, Red Holloway, Larry Taylor, and Harvey Mandel. Mayall's popularity continued with a succession of dynamic albums including the Grammy-nominated "Wake Up Call" that featured guest artists Buddy Guy, Mavis Staples, Albert Collins and Mick Taylor.

In 2008 Mayall made the decision to permanently retire the Bluesbreakers name and in 2009 started a new era of touring with band members Rocky Athas on guitar, Jay Davenport on drums and Greg Rzab on bass. They toured together for over seven years, averaging about 100 shows a year, and are featured players on John's last four studio albums. John has also recently released a couple of never before heard live albums from 1967 featuring Peter Green, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood, which along with the new studio albums have been enthusiastically received by critics and fans alike.

In August 2016 there was another big shift when thunderstorms prevented Rocky Athas from attending a festival, compelling John, Greg and Jay to perform as a trio. The sound they came up with lent an amazing new slant to John's music and he made the bold decision to move to the trio format. They have toured the USA, India and Europe in this format, and have had enthusiastic responses from audiences everywhere. A sample of the fireworks they create onstage was released in February 2018 entitled "Three For the Road." Recorded in Germany in 2016, this live CD has been very well received garnering excellent reviews!

Always one step ahead, John has now hired a new member to be added to all live shows. Her well-known name is Carolyn Wonderland and she will be the first ever woman to hold the position of lead guitarist in any of John's bands. She is also one of the featured guitar players on John's next studio album, Nobody Told Me released February 2019, that will also feature Todd Rundgren, Joe Bonamassa, Steven Van Zandt and Larry McCray on selected cuts. The road continues!
Tommy Odetto
Tommy Odetto
Tommy Odetto is a fifth generation resident of Fairfax California, the famed music mecca in Marin County. His early love of music had him discovering the magic of rock and roll through the likes of Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, and The Beatles. At the age of thirteen, Odetto immediately became obsessed with guitar after hearing Jimi Hendrix, Cream, and Led Zeppelin all within a matter of a couple months. From that moment, Tommy knew he wanted to dedicate his life to music, dreaming to move people with the power of music, and his guitar.

Tommy spent many years locked up in his bedroom practicing hours upon hours, every day and night, hoping to one day being able to play like his heroes Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Odetto infamously stood outside the windows of the local Fairfax Bars, every night of the week. From the ages of 13 to 20 years old, he studied his local heroes, and Marin County Ace guitarists Otis Scarecroe, Danny Uzilevsky, and Tom Finch. Studying and learning all that he could from the other side of the glass windows of Peri's Bar and 19 Broadway.

In those formative years, Tommy had several highly developmental moments in his career. Such as a vital and living mentorship from Marin County legend, Otis Scarecroe, and being invited to jam with Carlos Santana at his home in San Rafael, California. Santana had personally invited Tommy over after hearing about the young talent. Tommy broke out on the local Marin County scene at 15 years old with his band Soul Pie, founded in 2004, and went on to enjoy much local success.

In his early 20's, a chance meeting with the extremely talented singer-songwriter, Jesse Ray Smith, struck an immediate musical bond, and brotherhood. It was the perfect recipe for the partnership that became The Bad Jones. The Bad Jones was rounded out by John Varn; Tommy's best friend, musical right hand man, and keyboardist of Soul Pie. Tim Baker added his dynamic and talented skills on Bass. The Bad Jones has experienced great success, and has shared the stage with many notable artists such as Foreigner, Eddie Money, Kenny Wayne Sheperd, Living Colour, Leon Russell, to name a few. The Bad Jones has a self-titled five song EP and is gearing up for their full length debut album due in fall of 2016.

Being a successful solo artist and part of a thriving band with The Bad Jones just isn't enough for this dedicated talent. Tommy is also a full time member of the legendary San Francisco band that launched before he was born, Big Brother And The Holding Company. Big Brother started as Janis Joplin's supporting band in the late 60's. Tommy was asked to join in 2015 after the unfortunate passing of original guitarist, Sam Andrew. Founding drummer Dave Getz, asked Tommy to join the band after hearing Tommy play in downtown Fairfax.

In the Summer of 2015, Tommy recorded his debut EP as a solo artist. "Euphoria" was recorded in Seattle, Washington and Produced by Brett Eliason (Mad Season, Pearl Jam, Heart).

In 2016, one of Tommy's musical dreams came true. He shared the stage with one of his biggest heroes - Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Them Crooked Vultures) at a festival in Thousand Oaks, California. Tommy is currently writing material for his next solo effort, as well as heading back into the studio to record with The Bad Jones. Tommy is very busy with gigs all over California. He has committed all of his time to honing his craft, and feels blessed everyday to spread the power of music, and Rock and Roll.
